USDA Poster Campaign

The USDA poster made to bright a creative way of showing people what is in the foods they eat to convince them to choose healthier options. Custom symbols all created in Illustrator. 

The USDA provides leadership on food, agriculture, natural resources, rural development, nutrition, and related issues based on public policy, the best available science, and effective management. For this project the focus was on Americans and their nutrition. The USDA works to provide the general population information about  science-based dietary guidance, nutrition policy coordination, and nutrition education. 

For this campaign the focus was on nutrition education, specifically on foods that aren’t healthy for consumers. The message is “Do You Know What You’re Eating?” and the food of choice for this poster is ice cream. With custom symbols the poster displays the nutritional information of ice cream in a friendly manner to encourage consumers to think about what they are eating and decide to make better choices.
