Projections: A Fashion Experience
Projections: A Fashion Experience website created by a team consisting of Daniel Wethern, Patrick Mukena, Martyna Burrows, and Christina Sowins. Worked closely with client to ensure their vision was accomplished and all important information was included on the site.
Projections: A Fashion Experience is a multimedia event showcasing Senior Collections from The Art Institute of Portland. This scholarship fundraising event aims to be a platform for the talents of emerging designers, fashion photographers, and established fashion designers from within the Portland community.
The goal for the web team was create a website that mimics the theme of the fashion show, projections, and follows the style of all other collateral provided by other teams in terms of style guide, logo, imagery, and media. The website is responsive and mobile friendly so those looking into the website during conversation or in-passing can experience the site without interruptions.
Software: Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Weebly.
As determined by the creative directors the web team created the following pages: home, mission, competition, designers, and credits. The team created wireframes based on the projected assets that would be on each page. All wireframes were approved by the creative directors before moving to mockups and then building the corresponding final pages in Weebly.
The original plan with the website was to have a standard homepage prior to a group critique with all teams where a video was suggested. The homepage mockup was then modified to meet these requests. The video required extra research in terms of file host and if the website would load efficiently with it, but in the end it proved to the best feature on the site in showcasing the event.
