How It's Made
A web advertisement and content that promotes Sci2’s web series “How It’s Made”. A process diagram describing the steps of how 3D animation is made with direct reference to the corresponding video.
How It’s Made is a fan favorite created by the Science Channel and it explores how everyday objects or products are made. It probes viewers to stop and think about how the items we use every day are created. Each episode covers a different object or product that are manufactured in high-tech factories or processing plants around the world like dental crowns, traditional bookbinding, luxury sports cars, and much more.
An expansion to the show in the form of info-graphics was created to highlight specific episodes for those who don’t have the ability to watch video on the go. It works as extra advertising in order to pull in a larger viewership online. Two info-graphics were created: one anatomical and one process diagram. The focus of the info-graphics is from the episode on 3D animation and the style resembles a computer motherboard.
